I thought that it would be fun to introduce a new series to the blog; my outfits posted on Instagram for the week with details. Since this is the first one I have a little bit of catching up to do. This post will include a little more than a week’s worth of looks, but from here on out it will be week by week. Here we go for 8/19-8/30: Burgundy tank - a great layering piece for fall or to wear now! Under $10 here . Levi’s Jeans - some of my favorite denim. I love the rugged, laid back look. Jeans (similar, more below) | Tank  | Straw Bag   Levi’s denim stole my heart a long time ago. I had my very first pair in high school. I’m always on the hunt for a great pair of jeans and usually a pair of Levi’s do the trick. What’s nice is that they last forever!   I scored this awesome pair from a consignment shop (I love recycling clothes). They have the perfect vintage feel with wash marks on the front and tattered raw hem that gives them character. They are the wedgie fit style which instantly gives that super cool feel. With fall swinging around soon I’m excited to wear these more with booties, flannels and everything in between. Looking for that instant laid back vibe for your closet? Booties | Tank  (same, other colors)| Jeans  (similar) I’m loving this trendy fall bootie. It has that super cute style that can add an extra oomph to a casual tee and jeans. I also love that they can be dressed up or down! That is one of the keys for me.   Here are other things that I look for in a fall bootie that this one has: Price- it’s very rare that I splurge on a seasonal shoe. I like to keep booties under around $50. I think this is do-able because booties tend to be cheaper than tall riding style boots. This style is very affordable at just under $40.  Quality Compared to Price- I don’t shop at Target expecting a $20 shoe to last me for years, for example. I do look at the quality compared to the price of the shoe though. This bootie is under $40 and I would say that the quality reflects that. It has a nice microsuede material that should last for a few seasons.  Comfort- my booties with a heel tend be 3 inches and under. I live a very casual lifesty

Wearing shades: 358 Cowboy and 854 Bittersweet  For the longest time I’ve suffer from extremely sensitive lips that are allergic from what seems like everything that I try to put on them. It’s been a game of trial and error with what works for me or not (doctors could never pin point to the exact allergen). I love seeing swatch’s of lip lipsticks from make up gurus but gave up on trying them out until recently. I went into CVS one day and randomly decided to try the L’Oréal section. I chose a color that I loved and decided to give it a go. Guys, I haven’t turned back since. L’Oréal’s Infallible Pro Matte Liquid Lipstick is absolutely amazing. They have a variety of shades for different skin tones. The formula glides on perfectly and stays! When I say it stays, I mean being a newbie I wasn’t sure how to take it off initially. Reach for these  stud flats when you want to add a little extra something to your outfit. Love with a white tank and denim shorts. TTS and have a little extra cushion for walking.
