Similar Outfit Pieces Found Here I hope you guys had a great Christmas! I took a bit of a break to unplug with family this holiday and it felt amazing. Today I’m back with an OOTD featuring (my favorite) teddy coat, an oversized scarf and moto boots.  It’s officially winter and it really does feel like it here on the east coast. I like to stay warm but as fashionable as possible so here is a break down of how I did that with this look. My first layer is always a tank when it’s cold out. Under my coat you can see a fitted long sleeve tee. I then topped it with my cozy teddy coat. For extra warmth I added a blanket scarf. This scarf is a little on the expensive side but is worth every single penny. It’s like being wrapped in another sweater on top. You can find it in more colors here . This month’s mood board was inspired by all things Christmas. I’m seeing red (in a good way) all month long. I’m also loving Christmas flowers and of course holiday fashion. 

Shop this look here Happy December and what many bloggers call plaid season. It’s such a fun and simple way to feel festive for this time of year. I did a poll on my Instagram stories and a whopping 94% said that they’re really into plaid. 6% said no not really. I've noticed that plaid is a pretty yes or no thing; either you're into it or it's not for you.  For this look I wanted to add a little more to my basic button shirt so I opted for a long teddy coat in a contrasting color. This teddy coat was a steal last year from Shein but they are everywhere so I linked a  similar version . I added black accessories to dress it up a bit. Let’s talk about the bag. Yes that is a summer straw bag, but I like to think of it as basic. For example, you can always wear basics such tees in the winter as long as you layer it, right? Happy new week! It’ll probably come as no surprise that mules are my favorite cooler weather shoe... as I talk about them every year on the blog. They’re so perfect for that transition where it’s not quite time to take out boots. Lately I’m loving mules with a classic trench coat. Both timeless pieces that can be worn year after year. Amazon is so great for last minute options. I purchased one last minute for my daughter’s birthday party and it ended up being really decent quality. Target is a great go for affordable quality. If you’re looking for top notch quality to last season after season, Madewell is your go to. Their quality is hard to beat and they have timeless basics. All of them are super soft, versatile and comfortable. Happy fall! I’ve seen mood boards all over for the longest time and never really thought to make one myself until recently. They're beautiful to refer to for inspiration and tap into your creative side. Here’s how I did it: Gather all recent photos that you’ve taken and organize them. I did this by creating a mood board folder.  Go to Canva (or any other creative app of choice) and search for a collage that fits your aesthetic. Arrange them and play around until they match your particular theme.  Add a filter of your choice (optional) or play around with photo settings.  It’s super easy to make but does take planning if you’re using your own photos. For example, most of my photos were for October but still fit November’s theme perfectly. For December or a winter mood board, start planning now for beautiful holiday inspired content. It’s super fun, creative and is a beautiful way to display your work. Added plus: it totally puts you in a good mood and gives you inspo!

Pullover | Beanie (similar) | Leggings   Socks | Boots (similar)  My favorite thing to do as the weather cools down is add little things that refresh my wardrobe. If I don't need new more expensive pieces (ie. a new coat) then I skip that purchase for the year. Nonetheless it's always fun to update in some way. Here are a few of my favorite ways to do that in inexpensively :  Beanie - they were everywhere last year and still going strong this year. Beanies  come in so many different varieties, colors and brands. Find one that matches your style. Pom pom, no pom pom, fold up, no fold etc. A great way to add some personality to your wardrobe.  Socks - camp socks or knee high length that can be scrunched down. Super fun to have them peek out of your hiking boots ! Added bonus for them being super warm and cozy. Scarf - a no brainier but had to mention.
