Outfit Details: The Romper + Our Day Date

I love an occasional floral print. I think that they are gorgeous and so perfect for warm weather. I just don’t tend to gravitate toward them for myself. The same with rompers. My husband kept saying that there is such a cute “dress” (he calls rompers dresses lol) that I really want to get you (see photo below).

One day he came home with it and I immediately said ehhh… to myself. Only  because I am more of a basic tank and shorts girl. I thanked him and said that it was genuinely super cute and I’ll try it out. Fast forward about a week later. We had a beautiful day on a lake front yesterday (update below). It was literally the most perfect outfit! I wore it with these flats. When I say that most perfect outfit I mean it. It was about 90 degrees out and I hardly broke a sweat. It did not ride up like some rompers do. It also took me from brunch to shopping and walking around. Overall I felt comfortable and cute! You can check it out here. Currently it's on sale for $15!

Sunday on the lake front rundown:

Brunch at  Yard House:

Ohh Yard House….
I wanted to love this place soo bad. There were pros and cons.

Pros- the food was really good. I had the spicy chicken sandwich and it was cooked perfectly (crispy outside juicy inside) the condiments that they put on it also complimented the sandwich well. The mimosas were yummy. My husband had a burger and said that it was really good. The atmosphere was nice too. Super chill with an upscale sport bar kind of feel. We enjoyed that.

Cons- that actually will keep us from returning. The service was terrible. I really dislike saying that but it was. This is what I mean. We waited literally over an hour for our food. It was to the point where I kept telling my husband to let's pay for our drinks and go to the local sandwich shop. Our waiter checked on us maybe once the entire time. I even spoke to the manager to see what the hold up was. She checked and soon our food came out, but she did not return to apologize or anything. We did get comped for half of our check but it wasn’t worth it. Such a bummer.

Shopping and Strolling:

The lakefront near us is beautiful. I tried to get my husband to paddle boat but he said no haha. There are super cute small business shops there. My husband even did a little shopping! I found a shop that sells cute name brand clothes like Free People, AGolde etc. My husband and I picked out wines made in Argentina and France from a local shop that we can’t wait to try. And my favorite, cupcakes! I chose a few vanilla, snickerdoodle, red velvet, lemon and cookies and cream flavored. I haven’t tried them all yet but cannot wait!

I thought that it would be fun to give you guys an update. Have a great week!
